WRC Guys & Gals,

The morning weather prediction looked a bit dreary and as we stepped outside we were faced with a drizzle I wasn’t sure what the day would bring? But a stop at my favorite coffee stop (Speedway) at least made the drive a little more tolerable.

Driving down Rt 77 didn’t exactly enlighten the day either. We got a late start so we didn’t roll into the Marina till a lttle after 10: and as I suspected everyone was already there with their boats in the water. Our treasurer Mr Robert Joynt and his lovely lady were  already out cruising the lake, John Reed and brother Bill had John’s boat ready to launch. John Hagerman also was out checking out his (new to Me) Scott McCulloch 10hp on his newly acquired 12 ft ChrestLiner, Also a surprise to see. Mr Jay Miller was comfortably seated behind Kerry York’s truck and was in the midst of explaining the idea behind a magneto vrs a battery ignition in a Ruddertwin. Not far from Jay was Scott Wimbush’s truck filled with parts from who knows where ? Domenic’s truck was open to shoppers checking out the surviving leftovers from my basement. Thanks to so many of you that found something you needed.

John Fairgrieve was busy working on a gentleman’s 10 hp Johnson with help from several other members. Doug Bics didn’t bring his Johnson so we could help find the reason for it’s pour running condition? Paul Wood was out running his FeatherCraft with a 10 Johnson and giving rides to those brave enough to take a ride in the little screamer !  Steve Schmitmeyer and a friend had found some parts that might work on one of his engines.

After checking out more of the goodies that rolled in, guys were going up to get their orders in at the restaurant, one table was already filled, Scott W., Jay M,, Kerry York, John F., Steve S., Chip Rabbit and John & Bill Reed had  their orders in. Because there is only one short order cook at the marina restaurant, it takes a good bit of time for him to prepare all the orders.

At our table were, Bob J. & Leslie, Dom & Maryann, Dave & Connie Nau, Peg & I and Paul Wood.

I had asked the cook if we could put in our order, he said he was backed up and couldn’t take any more orders till he finished the first tables order, and that took about a half hour or more. He also said he would come and take our orders when he could!

But we passed the time talking  and catching up with everyone which was great as Bob & Leslie had just returned from a cruise up thru Alaska and had a wonderful time,  Dave & Connie had just settled into their new house, Paul said he and his wife were driving to Colorado tomorrow and Dom & Maryann had just bought a place in Fla. So we had plenty to talk about !

Our orders had been taken and were worth the wait. The sandwiches were great and very filling.

After lunch the meet started to break up and people started leaving. We said our fair wells and were on our way.  A great time with even greater friends ! A big thanks to all that came!

Gary & Peg
